I just want to be transparent, I haven't purchased the game as yet, but I've been casually looking at it since it was announced and now that EA is here, I'm just wanting clarification on something that is an important part of my gameplay experience. PVP is NOT optional in this game, is that correct? From everything I see, it looks like you will have to do PVP to make any kind of meaningful headway or resource collection in this game at a pace and scale that matches other players who do PVP and even then a player who pvps' can just sneak up on you or overpower you and take it all, is that right? Also, exploration is discouraged for players who don't want to play PVP because you can just get killed out in the world by another player at any time. Is that also correct? I'm not really someone who enjoys that kind of gameplay and I really don't want to invest in something I'm not going to enjoy, so I'm hoping the things I've heard so far are wrong because the game looks fantastic, and I want to play, but I DO NOT want to PVP.
