Cannot Run under Virtual Machine

Hello,

since steam release I am playing ashes on a shadow.tech streaming computer. Since last patch I just cant.
While I understand this is a fight against bots, you are also targeting legit players.
I cannot play, my partner cannot play with me, my guild is left without their armorsmith, raidlead and organiser.

I imagine some other legit players using VMs are also pretty mad right now. I cannot simply buy another PC which can run ashes… especially by todays prices

Rethink this method of fighting against bots, the botters will find a way to spoof EAC, to think they run a real machine.

I don't know what to do now, and I am mad, I put an insane amount of time, since the steam release into this game. I also played ashes before the steam release on my shadow streaming computer and now my progress is halted till I can find a machine to run ashes on.

i play with a shadow pc and it's same.

If you plan to ban Shadow PCs, refund my 100 euros because it wasn't banned when I paid.

I understand that Intrepid Studios needs to deal with bots, but you can’t sell something without warning users that they won’t be able to play the game on this type of PC.

So please clarify your position so I know whether I should leave the game or not.

LOL! The Industry is pushing more and more for virtual machines so they can sell hardware to AI Companys and Intrepid thinks they can just ban virtual machines?

After hundreds of hours, pre and post steam - Suddenly the game is locked out for those using a Virtual Machine to play? Why was this change made? There was no communication that this restriction was forthcoming.

Please figure out how to let those of us that use Shadow PC to play Ashes. I have been playing since Alpha 2 on Shadow PC and after the latest update I get "Unable to Launch Game on a Virtual PC". I don't have time, money, space, or need to get a full PC. I just want to be allowed to play the game the same way I have for the last year.

hate to sound harsh, but there are system requirements. they did not have a computer that met the system requirements when they bought it. They were using a remote tool to play the game when they bought it - which is obviously a potential casualty from the fight against bots.

It's kind of the same things with programs like AHK - someone with a disability might use it to recreate mouse movements ect to play with limited manual dexterity or appendage count, while others might use it to automate tasks input free. Sometimes it's the baby with the bath water, but I think people who use a shadow machine are absolutely the minority of users on VM.
