How is healing?

Long time MMO player (Ultima Online was my first) and I have always gravitated towards Healing. There is just a feeling of control over the battlefield that I don't feel with any other role. I have been watching this game for a long while, and while I know it's alpha and there will be plenty changing, I still want to hear what people think of the healing at this phase. I want to purchase the alpha, but I have to ask. I have seen plenty about healing mechanics, but not whether it is fun.

I really enjoy the Cleric and its healing. Even on the Bard, it's enjoyable, but not quite enough to manage a full group without a Cleric.

The Cleric skill set is fun. There are different ways to play it.

And yeah, I always preferred the Support roles, cos they're always the more interesting. With a DD role, you just run your rotation over and over again. With a Tank, you just sit and grab mobs. But Support is fluid and always different. Much more my kind of thing. 😁

I think Ashes does it well.

Thanks for the reply. I have been watching videos, reading the wiki, and just trying to take it all in. I think I am going to pull the trigger. NGL, one thing that really got me excited was the idea of really going all in on the religion path. I can really see a lot of potential here, I really hope we get there.
