Ranged class in AoC

Hello guys,

Any of you that had the oportunity of trying AoC already please share your opinions on the ranged class(Ranger/Rogue) gameplay, dmg over other classes. PvP/ PvE experience ?
Any information is greatly appreciated.

    Way to soon to discuss this, the archetypes aren't close to being done, and after that they'll work on classes. We'll know more about how each class will feel in the beta stages of the game.

    As the Nerd pointed out above, it will be a fair few months before we even get the 2nd half of the archetypes available to test. Alpha 0 is going to be the 4 archetypes from PAX (unconfirmed on the remaining 4), with a max level of 10. Alpha 1 should have all 8 archetypes and all the races available, but no idea when we will be able to "flavor" with secondary. Since we know that you can choose once you hit 30, it all depends on what they announce the  level cap for Alpha 1 to be.

    All we can speculate about is that "Double dps" ranger classes (Mage/Ranger etc) will do more dmg than hybrid ranger classes (Ranger/bard). 

    This is mostly because High dps+high utility classes usualy means these classes will have advantages. But, this is just speculation. We have to wait

    I don't know if you have played Archeage but it was same with ranged at the begining, great dmg, a little OP and after that they nerfed it beyond repair. I just hope here in a better balance between classes.

    Was stated during a livestream. Then again, it was used as an example since they had not decided what level cap was going to be at that time. If level cap was 50, then you would be able to select your secondary around level 30 was the statement I believe. Progression in secondary is horizontal, not vertical. Was a few months back, they could have changed it all by now.

    Every class should have a counter but some classes (with equally skilled players) should not be able to beat certain classes.

    It should be a giant circle like Paper/Rock/Scissors/Paper/Rock/.... (with equally skilled players)
