... Intrepid Studios simply trying;

Trying to make an MMO that brings back a sense of wonder.
Trying to do so as an independent studio because AAA publishers would first and foremost ask if it would make ALL the money rather than would it generate enough to turn a tidy profit which would fund further development.
Trying new and innovative ideas rather than the tried and true because Marketing wouldn't allow anything bold and exciting.
Trying to make a world that changes due to player's actions rather than a static world full of loot pinatas.

These are just some of my favorite things.

I am thankful for the reality that with the forums being back and the latest node blog post full of new info. I feel as if I can be positive about the game again.

I am thankful for Toasty and Margaret.
Those two really came in as the bridge we needed between Intrepid and us for a long time. The information flow is finally steady and puts everything slowly into an official format.

As Steven said it just takes away too much time from development and they are putting together what will hopefully spark the flames of hype and fan them till release.
