ooh tough question.
Now I tend to like darker type art rather than classical Fantasy which is what AOC is based on but here goes.......Fighting Fantasy artwork was one of my most favourite and largest influences, its rather warped but i love a world of flaws as opposed to a world thats always just perfect. Fighting Fantasy are old school RPG books by mainly Ian Livingstone a absolute legend in my eyes.

Well what else do we have?

Medieval european armour looks the best in my opinion.

Japanese doesnt really fit the theme right now in my opinion (could change with expansions).

Chinese could be good.

Near eastern armour could be fantastic (especially because we already have a race based with these designs).

Norse armour always looks epic
