WoW's problem was they made things really easy in wrath and then immediately made things a lot harder in Cata. Anyone who hadn't played during TBC wasn't prepared (pun intended) for the sudden increase in difficulty.

Well we do know that scientific nodes will have fast travel to and from their nodes at a certain level, but that will at least be restricted to the specific node and not across the whole world. ^^ I think a tool to find other people would be nice, something like in GW2, and i really hope that AoC will never get LFR xD
