Any interesting build that you are going to try out in AoC?

Hello everyone, Damokles back with another thread!

Is there an interesting build that you want to try out in AoC or do you want to play a cooky-cutter build?

With interesting i mean something like a melee dps necromancer, a movementspeed based melee mage or my favourite the hybrid rogue/bard. Everything that is not really conventional but could be a ton of fun for the player.

I myself want to play a heavy melee rogue or bard (probably with buff capability or heals).

Another cool build-idea!

The Kha'Zix:
-Class: Assassin (Rogue/Rogue) or Shadowblade (Fighter/Rogue)
-Weapons: Double Daggers and a Crossbow
-Armour: Light or medium Armour
-Playstile: Deletion of single enemy targets with good disengage/engage ability

All augments would be specked to enhance single target damage and damage out of invisibility, with one ranged skill to slow the target.

DAOC - friar analogue = master of evasion/parry/quarterstaff + blessings(pref. to leather/light armor)

Class: Dreadnaught (Fighter/Tank)
Race: Dwarf
Weapon: Two-handed Hammer, One-handed hammer and Shield
Armour: Heavy Armour
Playstile: Lay down the Law and count ALL the grudges

Augments should be specked to slow heavy hits and armour debuffs

I am a typical support dude who loves to buffs and heal, so if there is actually a solid debuffer i might hybrid on the 2.. secondary i suppose can also hybrid a tank and healer to literally help my teamates

Lots of the classes has names that makes them sound interested.
But what i currently have in mind, is a Tulnar weapon master or spellsword, using a 2-handed sword. Previousely I had thought of a duelwielding ranger typer, or rogue. I also though about summoner, perhaps necromancer. But currently i feel for the warrior. It is also partly why i bought the legendary path in APoC, so i could get some sword skins

im going for a cleric/bard, see if i can buff ppl with tougher hides as augment for heal over time skills:D

Anyone going to try a pure class/class combination? After my main interest I may try a dwarf cleric/cleric with double hammers..

Can't determine a build without knowing what attributes and stat modifiers we have to work with on gear. I hope it's not boring and over simplified like FFXIV.

but based on classes alone I wouldn't mind the Cleric/Rouge (Shadow Disciple) Class for both solo and PvP play. maybe there's a good racial bonus to go with that setup

Play style: Mele damage dealer with solid crowd control and evasion that doesn't require positioning like a Rogue.

Play style: Brawler playstyle. Take a beating and give one out. To be the first in and last out (alive hopefully).

Race: Pyrian (Elves)
Weapon: Halberd/bow
Armor: Medium (Chain/Scale)
Play style: An agile fighter engaging from afar with my bow if needed and using my halberd to impale my foes from a distance.

Class: Necromancer (Summoner/Cleric)
Race: Tulnar (whatever looks the scariest)
Weapon: Whip/Flail + Shield
Armor: Medium (Chain/Scale)
Play style: Like a reaver from DAoC using dark or blood magic to buff my defense and offensive capabilities as I engage my targets in melee and using DoTs to damage or siphon their lifeforce for my own.

Class: Duelist (Rogue/Fighter)
Race: Aela
Weapon: Dual Swords
Armor: Medium (Chain/Scale)
Play style: Using stealth to get in close but relying on my skill with the blade and wit to take down my targets.

Class: Assassin (Rogue/Rogue)
Race: Pyrian (Elves)
Weapon: Rapier/Dagger/Crossbow
Armor: Light (Leather)
Play style: Get in, kill my key target and get out. Finish off from afar with crossbow as needed.

Class: High Priest/Templar/Apostle (Cleric/Cleric/Fighter/Tank)
Race: Dunzenkell (Dwarves)
Weapon: Mace + Shield (Cleric)/ Maul or Hammer (Templar)/ Warhammer + Shield (Apostle)
Armor: Medium (Chain - Cleric)/Heavy (Plate - Templar or Apostle)
Play style: As a High Priest, my role would be to buff, cure and heal my allies to insure victory. As a Templar, I would fight alongside my allies providing buffs and light healing as I cave in my enemies' skulls. As an Apostle I would defend my more vulnerable allies assisting with buffing, curing and healing my allies while carrying a righteous warhammer in the name of Moradin, or I'm a bearded gnome!

I honestly hope I can find either a healthy median between all those classes or they allow us to later change our primary class as well. Going to try and limit my characters to two, maybe three tops. I was lucky in ArcheAge to find that heavy bruiser that if played correctly didn't get destroyed by the meta melee classes or the meta caster classes. I just couldn't heal

Oh man, I hear ya... I HOPE that "Meta" builds aren't as prevalent in Ashes, and off the wall unique playstyles will actually be good..... /sigh... But I know that isn't possible... there will always be superior builds

Yep, I am probably going to go Summoner/Summoner. My goal is to eventually be able to summon massive monsters.
