Which area are the players going to start?

I am wondering about this for a bit of how they are going to plot each character at. Is it going to be a random location at a random node? Will the player be able to pick the node and then be dropped randomly in there? Or will there be starting location points at each node?

All of these are pretty important because I want to play with friends and I don't want to spend half a day trying to find them so we can build our little spot. I know it may be a bit soon to ask these questions but better have an idea of what will happen so we can all plan accordingly when it does get released.

    You are going to start from one of the 4 huge portals in the world, not a node. In the docgotgame q&a, they were asked something similar and they said they are considering allowing the player to choose which portal they start in, which you choose some time during character creation. This is so friends can be together when they start. They prefer this method instead of allowing fast travel, which they plan not to implement in the game.
