Your Character Name Origin Story
Khronus
Most of us have character names that have an origin story or a meaning behind it. I would like to read your origin stories!
Khronus - This character name has stuck with me since I retired my Highschool gamer name "IHeartSpeedos". I played Water Polo then and made a meme name for Halo 2 Online play haha. Khronus is a combination of Chrono from Chrono Trigger, Kenneth (my name IRL) and the god of time Chronos...naturally. My character is often an older gentlemen with grey or white hair and tends to lean towards the darkness/evil magic. If I wasn't running a guild, I would play a summoner/Cleric 100% but i will be main tanking for the sake of solid leadership and consistent raiding.

winner909098 - I chose it one day, and it stuck

Inspired from 1976 Movie " Logans Run " Where you had a life clock, in the year 2274 and when it reached red you must renew in the Carrousel. If you chose to live and Run, the Sandman would hunt you down.

I was 13 when I played my first PC game. The night before I had seen "Meet Joe Black". I liked the sound of it. I also liked Sirius Black from harry potter, so it stuck with me.
I was using it while playing Warcraft 3, cs, dota1, battlefield. Then I started L2 and I kept it.
Tacualeon
One of my names is Ariel. I was born in Tacuarembó.
Ari means solar fire/lion, and Napoleón is one of my favorite historic figures.
Ari from Tacuarembó: Tacua-león.
Acarith
Acarith was born from the bound soul of an Evan. (A cool name I thought of years ago in Maplestory.) That went threw the gates of Oblivion to be reborn into a Dragon Knight or as some call Kaiser. (One of my character names in ESO.) Finding itself somber, waiting to continue it's Dragconic Orcish visage in AoC. (I played a crafting Orc DK in ESO, no clue if their are any dragon themed archetypes for me to continue. But if I can fly on one it's cool.)

I generally make it up on the spot depending on what the character will be and what their role is. Sometimes I name them after fictional characters and sometimes I use a made up fantasy name on the spot. I don't really come with a plan before hand who the character will be. The game just shapes them as it goes on with titles and the name I picked in the end. I like this way best because it ensures every character I make across every game I play is unique.

I created a thread with almost the exact title last week lol. Not trying to call you out just figured I'd share if you wanted to read other community members stories

If it works, it works!
@Sandman
I remember watching this a long time ago but don't remember much. I'll check it out again! Cool origin though. Better than naming yourself after the spiderman movie with Sandman haha.
@George Black
Sirius Black was a great character and I'm glad you got to play Warcraft 3! It was such an amazing game before Blizzard failed to relaunch it properly : (
@Tacualeon
I love it! It's a unique name as well as an interesting origin!
@Acarith
That's an awesome background. I never played Maplestory or ESO but I've heard good things. I do like the name Acarith!
@Yuyukoyay
I've never thought of your perspective on naming characters to keep each game unique to the character. The way I see all my games are of my character delving into new worlds where as you get to look back and see a different character for every game and seperate those memories. That's pretty sick.
@mrwaffles
I'll check it out! Waffles are pretty damn good. I add peanut butter (chunky) and maple syrup that does not have high fructose corn syrup. It's delicious.
