Little suggestion for the environment artist team

I noticed in the alpha footage that the connections of objects to the ground look kinda odd, maybe you could implement something like what is described in this video to make ashes look even more awesome:

Which piece of footage are you referring to here? They did have an issue in an earlier iteration where all the models were hovering slightly off the ground, which was fixed later on.

its present in every footage, from first ones 3 years ago up to the very last from latest dev update. Im not talking about the shadow bug.

also its more a thing about static objects like houses, walls, rocks and trees.

@uao
pretty nice video. Adding depth to anything usually makes things better.

I actually noticed this in the most recent footage where there were giant bones/skeletons that were placed around the map - they really did look like they were recently placed there, rather than belonging to the landscape. I assumed it was work-in-progress but I do want to point it out:
What could really help with those bones is lifting the earth around the foot where the bones touch the floor (Does this make sense?). It's a really natural phenomena but I don't know what it's called - when something has been on the floor for a long time, dirt/earth/sand tends to clump around its base.
Notice I tried to simulate it with the base of the tree on the left - it implies the root system of the tree is there and makes it heaps more believable (if you go outside, you'll notice
all
many trees raise the earth around their foot)
