Armor Ideas

I haven't really seen this yet with the stuff I have seen, so if this is a thing, let me know. I was thinking it would be really cool to have armor with effects. I am talking about something like Frost Armor that has icicles and a chilled air effect on it (think Lich King). I am just a sucker for cool stuff like that. What are your guys thoughts?

I'm kinda for nothing like that for immersion sake. I feel like that's old school mmo stuff gets a little.... gaudy after a while. I wouldn't mind weapons with high upgrades or boss weapons having effects though. Something that makes sense anyways.

I can see that. If it is overused and really in your face I dont like it either. I like when it adds just a little flair. If we use the Lich King armor as an example, if the chilled air effect had anything more than probably a 6 inch radius it would be rather gaudy and get in the way. I also wouldnt want it to be a essentially a fog around the person, more of a wispy effect.

This would make a lot of sense. I would hope that paid cosmetics don't have these though, making achievements in the game matter more than money. Something like slay a certain raid boss in a certain amount of time gets you this cool piece of legendary gear that has a cool effect on it. A piece of leather for rogues that has shadows falling off it or something.
