Regardless of literally anything else in this thread, this one point is what I am going to pull you up on.

Intrepid have never given a release date for Adhes, nor even a target release.

All they have ever given is a target for alpha, which was said to be some time in 2018, and they hit that target. They have never given any dates after that, and due to postal like this one, are unlikely to ever do so.

You misreading what Intrepid have blatantly stated not their fault, it is yours.

I was around for the Kickstarter and I remember seeing the claims from people that the game would release in 1 or 2 years. I looked all over at the time and couldn't find any such claim from IS or Steven. Perhaps I just missed it, but I doubt it. I know that when I contributed to Kickstarter, I was expecting to wait 5 years if things went smoothly; and, up to 7 if things went badly but still had a good chance of completion.

I have an idea where such information as wildly inaccurate release dates comes from though.

Written in August, 2020 the article claims that Ashes has announced possible release in 2020 and that Beta ran in December 2018. It is really best to check information that matters to you rather than relying on whatever people seem to think. Even if it looks like a news source.

Your post is an example of why developers cannot give a date that they are aiming for until they feel they are almost certain to reach it.

IS cannot be blamed for any information that the wiki editors choose to put on it as the wiki editors are not part of IS.

Some free advice for life, wiki's are generally edited by the public and wiki standards for proof are very low. If you need to be certain that some information is correct from a wiki, you should verify it. Fortunately, the Ashes wiki makes it very easy to verify things because links for statements are provided.

And finally, the current release schedule that we know of. It is complete with sources to verify if you would like to check them.

Everyone here has seen pre alpha gameplay. While it may not be ready for release, it is more than ready for alpha 1. Especially for the people who spent so heavily and have been waiting with baited breath. I know i am a singular player, but I assure you, my sentiments are not singular.
