Are Siege Abilities still a thing?

Just wondering if you guys are still expecting these and if you think we'll see them in one of the alphas. I really like this idea and I really hope it makes it to live, but at the same time they have so many other things to work on I can definitely see Intrepid dropping this idea.

For reference, this is when 8 characters of the same class cast a spell together to have some ultimate-type effect.

just IMAGINE the gargantuan giants a group of 8 summoners could bring to a battlefield

It'll be like the oliphaunts!
Maybe the 8 summoners have to first "capture" a boss before they can spawn it onto a battlefield?

Or: 4 summoners go into the dungeon and open a portal around a boss, 4 summoners on the battle field open the other end of the portal for the boss to be summoned to.

Ok this idea will never fly.
But I can totally see 8 summoners dropping bosses into metropolises for the lulz.
