Based on previous MMO's I've played, I voted PvE 80%, PvP 20% - I'm much more creator than destroyer, defender than attacker.

It's all pretty much up in the air though and will be heavily dependent on the conditions at play. I may not seek out combat, but I'm more than willing to defend myself and my territory if I have at my disposal the tools to do so.

The biggest factor will probably be gear. Often times the stats on gear will pidgeon hole you into a single role - if you want to PvE, you need to wear gear that specifically augments that PvE task, which in turn leaves you at a severe handicap if suddenly PvP is initiated. Under such conditions it's usually better to try to evade combat entirely. Personally, I'm hoping Ashes will keep PvE stats away from gear (or at least limit such stats to harvesting tools completely independent from combat). If I have the necessary tools to immediately defend myself or rush to the assistance of someone else while I'm in the middle of a PvE task, I can easily see myself in a more middle ground of PvE 60%, PvP 40%.

The answer to the question is, yes, I will be doing both.

No set percentages since it really depends on the situation and opportunities that present themselves.

Only thing I will say for sure is I will NOT go out of my way to kill that lone adventurer out collecting or exploring. I hate being ganked and thus will not do it to others (unless of course I know the person in question is a known PKer and / or is corrupt, they are KoS)

A bit of both. I plan on attempting high-end raids and my endgame treadmill will be serving as a foot soldier in guild battles. 60% PVE and 40% PVP.

80% PvE and 20% PvP for me, I think. I'd like to focus my energy on the artisan skills, but definitely some PvP because of the Node Sieges plus generally defending myself.
