[Open Discussion] Where is a steampunk / magical / small creatures race?

Hi there,

Looking at the races currently announced I feel there is a gap.

So far we have

Humans (Kaelar and Vaelune)
Dwarves (Dünir and Niküa)
Orcs (Ren'Kai and Vek)
Elves (Empyrean and Pyrai)
Tulnar (not a lot of details)

From these races, looking at the current images and information on the wiki, they all fairly similar.

Kaelar, Vaelune and Empyrean (humans with pointy ears) look very similar.
Dwarves Dünir are chunky and too serious.
Orcs are not cute.
Tulnar too serious.

As a player that usually goes for small, cute magical races with a steampunk culture, I feel there is a gap.

In Guild Wars 2 I played an Asura, in FFXIV I played a female smallest height Au Ra.
Looking at the current races in Ashes, the Niküa have potential, but I don't want to play an Hawaiian fish people.
Leaving me with the only option right now the Pyrai.

Still, can we have space for a Steampunk culture of less humanoid race that look magical and cool?
Let me leave you with Guineceans from Crowfall as inspiration, they look so cool, I would love play as a steampunk guinea pig

They could also be squirrels or Meerkats with a fantasy twist

Well, in the WoW lore those are just elves in general. They are all addicts.

On the topic of crack heads and addicts, my user icon is a perfect representation why furries are needed in the game if we have white powder.

That would work too, I said Steampunk but in reality it could be anything more technology focused.

We don't know enough about races/cultures/nodes to know if any can be cute and steampunky or not.
Potion Launchers are kinda steampunky. We have Scientific nodes.
Heck, we even have Stuffertons.

I really don't want another game with cutie/furry races.

This game proyect right now feels like a good western MMORPG. And that is what I want.

Human / Elfs / Dwarfs/ Orcs are the best combo for this type of games...

A race like a hobbit or gnome is not a bad idea but i really don't like the steampunk races like gnomes in world of warcraft.

I'll catch you at your favorite fishing spot and trade in 15 minutes of corruption to gank you until you realize logging out is a better use of your in-game time, than to say shit about me Orcs.

Wouldn't our incarnations and races therefore be the most-refined? Over the Ancients who - themselves - thought to ascend to the level of god-hood?

The gods created them first - but then kept on creating. Doesn't that say enough, about our natures?
