I had a idea about a game mechanic that would allow a player to choose to craft something through a mini game instead of just pressing the craft button. And if they play the mini game they could benefit a small bonus of material or skill progression.

    As soon as you can make a mini-game that doesn't have RNG attached to it, I'm all ears.

    I typically hate RNG too, but I think there can be small elements of that in a mini-game without warping the crafting system around it. Maybe there's a small chance to fail due to repeated bad luck in the mini-game, but it's not a big deal if it doesn't cost you rare mats. Just try again. RNG always evens out in the long run anyways. As long as a day's worth of effort doesn't hinge on a single dice roll.
