Infact a point can be made that while moving the swings will have far more power behind them due to momentum which makes your assumption invalid. So, NO. This is an unnecessary system to be introduced in the game.

I am a baseball player, I can tell you I hit balls way easier and harder when standing still, then trying to run and hit it. The trade off is , i can be hit easier when standing still and harder to hit while moving.

I do have common sense to analyze things without experiencing them. But if you wanna take sports as example lets consider following two perspectives. Baseball: When you hit in baseball, the ball is coming towards you. You REDIRECT the momentum of the ball. I highly doubt you will be able to hit a stationary ball as far as you would be able to hit a ball that is thrown towards you. Where is the additional power coming from? From motion i.e. kinetic energy of the ball. Football: When a free shot is given, the player runs up to the ball and hits it. For what my technique powered friend? For power. Where is the additional power coming from? From motion i.e. kinetic energy of the player. Let me drop some additional information, my kinetically challenged friend: - Technique is not generation of power always but it is also about about efficient utilization or redirection of generated power. - Technique can be applied both while stationary and while moving. Last I heard AoC isn't about baseball and I doubt you have any expertise in swordplay or weapon use. - The main difference which results from being stationary or being in motion is what? STABILITY. I am science professional who has been playing various sport for 2 decades almost. Probably studied physics longer than you played baseball too. CROW3 wrote: » Heh. I see what you did there Edit: Deachir wrote: » The trade off is , i can be hit easier when standing still and harder to hit while moving. This harder to hit while moving has nothing to do with power. I have no clue about baseball but have played cricket my entire life. The harder to hit while moving stems from timing of the execution of the shot. Not power. Not technique. Timing. So I dunno what you are talking about when you say power or technique and give example of something stemming from something else entirely. PS: No offense ofc.
