How Easy is it to Juggle Alts?
Judeth
How easy do you all find it to juggle multiple characters? Do you think this will be viable in Ashes? Considering how professions are going work, I'm expecting to have multiple characters so that I can experience the content. I'm usually the type of person to only have one character.
I think I read on the wiki that freeholds will allow us to transfer items between characters? Does anyone know if there will be other ways to do so? This would make it easier to have multiple characters.

What does jack-of-all trades support class have to do with multiple characters?

For me, alts are one of two things:
- The curiosity of exploring other classes and playstyles.
- Limitations (Inventory/bank space, merchanting, importing/exporting mats and items, etc) and Resourcefulness (multiple professions, etc.).
The less limitations the game has, the better.
You can do it, Devs. See you in the Tavern!

Other classes, other races, other genders, other guilds... social orgs, religions...

I usually stick to one main that I do everything on, but I do plan on having 1-2 alts because of the artisan classes.

Alts on a single account, sure go for it. I am not sure about the gear passing though... shared bank account in early game? Trusting someone to hold some alt gear for you? That depends on if items will be bound to character or account or at all.
Maybe I am overthinking this, but it seems to me that Alt accounts could be limited by the monthly fee and if the game can have more than one instance running on a PC.
Just my random thoughts.

I usually like to have one of each type of character, so in Ashes I'd want at least 8. That way, I can understand the game from each perspective, understand how other players are going to play, understand how to interact with each type, etc. Unless there's an absolute
must
to get them to max level, like a superduperuber stats boost, I don't specifically need them to all be max level right away. Am planning on two or three from the get-go.
Having one of each class also makes forming a group/party easier, as I can slot in to whichever role is required.

from the infos spread i belive that freeholds are very expensive to buy and maintain and you also need to build them up since you start with a plot of land only and are influenced by the node it stands in.
for item transphere only storrage containers in houses or appartments may be used to do so. i dont know if by default every char of a account has access to these houses and apparments or if they need to get permission by the owning char itself.
