Give me RP servers or give me death. Or no global chat to combat spam.

I know RP servers have been denied at least for the time. But for the love of god can we get something, anything that will ban real life bs like politics from global chats. It's not even about even about RP, it's just about keep the toxic waste out of the game. Yeah I know you can /ignore or whatever, but on a healthy server it's never ending and i just end up turning off the chat.

Edit. I've changed the title to something else, that better fits the discription. Because no global chat filter can combat, toxic spam from other players, or gold selling.

I do have to point out the irony in having my original title changed.

Nah, you gotta go to Mag7spy's profile page by clicking their name. There is a 'person' icon next to your mail messages that has an arrow pointing downward next to it. Click the downward arrow and there is an ignore option.

Well they’re typically spoken in video format so yeah, you probably wouldn’t “see” them say it, but it’s been confirmed multiple times Ashes isn’t going to have global chats because they want player’s chosen location to matter significantly.

There will be discords and other out-of-game aspects you can use if you really can’t do without

+1 Please no global chat. Global chats just turn into Spam, "git gud scrub", or people showing off their Epeen. Honestly there isn't necessarily anything wrong with those last 2, but when it's reaching it's intended person and maybe those within earshot. Fine... but when people on the other side of the world is hearing some idiot call someone else a scrub lord... they don't give 2 sheeets about what is going on.

Not really. Discord is going to be used regardless, usually for guilds and already established friendships. But to talk to and interact with other players you dont know, you will have to resort to the provided chats.

Not really. Discord is going to be used regardless, usually for guilds and already established friendships. But to talk to and interact with other players you dont know, you will have to resort to the provided chats.

There are discord servers for different servers in game people create and have people join in them. I had that in new world and everyone joined it, though it wasn't used as much for communication unless the person was not online in game chat.

Without ways to communicate on a larger scale discords will be far more important and you will simply have giant discords with a ton of people on them. Honestly I'd most likely create one myself if there are no global chats.

This isn't the 2000's times have changed there is no strong reason to not have global chats and channels per area. To not have them only makes it not as easily group up together and form guilds. So rather than in game people will use discords to form guilds and recruit members.

I still think selling global chat in the cash shop would solve this issue. 1 dollar for 120 characters. Then when someone is talking in global you know it's important, or you know who's got money to burn.

A region chat would be great. Or a Node's Zone Of Influence chat. Castle Region Chat. There's really so many options.

Ya no, this is the same as your other post trying to get people to spend money on stupid convenience nonsense like paying to not see cosmetics. Simply turn it off for yourself and simply be less social it isn't hard and has 0 effect on you. Stop trying to force you way of thinking on others when they need to be able to communicate.

When it comes to communication it should be up to the player how much they want to or how little if they want to go full anti social. Players should have control on channels they are apart and customize it to their preference and can turn off global chat for themselves.

Honestly those will happen regardless of having a global chat or not. I didn't even know they were planning on possibly not having a global chat and I have been building a few discords for this very reason.
