Should Ashes of Creation target PS5 and Xbox Series X.

A lot of upcoming mmorpgs are targeting the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X platform as well as PC. Archeage 2, Throne and Liberty and Liberty and Blue Protocol are all receiving console release as well. This started because the MMORPG has reached a saturation point of PC and developers realized they can revive mmoprgs by releasing on console. The first mmorpg to release on console was Phantasy Star Online after wards Final Fantasy 11, Phantasy Star Online 2, Final Fantasy XIV, Destiny and Black Desert Online. Ashes of Creation would do better if they targeted consoles as well because it is easy to convince them to try that open wold sandpark game then a pc gamer.

No, and that's why im not interested in AA2, TL, Blue Protocol, shitty classless system games with weapons giving 6 skills max you can use so it's playable on console, terrible game design.

Console and mobile gaming heavily restrict the gameplay possibilities by the shear limit of buttons. not to mention chat. Cross platform works for game that require 5-10 buttons.

Console does not limit the amount of buttons because of the cross hotbar and triggers which give a total of 32 skills. The thing that limits mmorpgs now is that they have to work with the minimum pcs specs which are below the current generation consoles. The real limitation is that Ashes of Creation would need additional staff to handle console checks.

Yeah I know. I hope its sooner rather than later because 4k HDR on a ps5 is much cheaper than 4k HDR on a pc.

I find it weird that people would even want this game released on mobile or console. There isn't a question those platforms require the developers to evaluate their design to fit within the limitations of a console and mobile device. If IS just wanted to maximize the total audience available for their game sure, but that merely increases the total number of people who CAN play the game not will.

When you create a multiplatform MMO that evaluation to fit the hardware of consoles or mobiles plays a role in deciding how the game is built and AOC has not been building their game to reflect those limitations whatsoever. To start now would drastically change their current timelines and I would be astonished and definitely saddened to hear any announcement regarding intended cross platform designs.

No. Any time spent developing cross platform could be spent on adding content and features that actually benefit the game. Making Ashes for mobile/consoles would ruin the game performance wise. Everything would have to be dumbed down to run on those systems including graphics and scale. Good luck participating in a 200v200 castle siege on phone or console

Oh? Please educate me. I made a lot of explicit choices based on the fact that PS5s are similar to 2060s, but I could just have been misled by popular media.

What is the performance difference between the two?

Elite runs better for me on PS5 than on my laptop, I was actually rather disappointed at this.

5700 XT is the ps5 graphics card equivalent. About 10 to 20% more performance than 2060.
