Looks to be aiming for some of the same pillars/features as AoC - medieval, sandbox, highly-social, city-building, risk vs. reward ("The further you journey from home, the stranger and more dangerous this world becomes.") Still a lot unknown though (just looking at the website/teaser videos). Like I'm not sure how open the world is, or how much focus there will be on PvP. Combat looks super simple, but again, not much info to go on. No mentions of anything like Nodes and Caravans specifically, but quite a lot of talk about building up a city/civilization. And some talk about everyone having a role in the economy. A huge difference seems to be their attempt at offering very casual ways to play or at least be a part of the growing towns, especially since they want it to be cross-platform eventually, including mobile/tablets. My main concern then is that the combat doesn't get any deeper or more challenging than, say, New World. I think they want to support both ends of the spectrum from chill to hardcore, but the teasers offer basically nothing to show off the hardcore side. Seems cool enough to try out. Y'all got any hot takes or profound insights?
