Alpha-1 was open to Europeans, so I don't see why Alpha-2 wouldn't be.
They asked about these a while back, and everyone answering hated them, so they agreed that dailies wouldn't play a part.
I can see only one way in which this is possible.
Teaming up with other, smaller Groups. It doesn't negate the Strength in Numbers Effect, only because your Group is smaller.
To beat like +20 Players attacking your City or so : you usually need about 20 Players of the same Strength and Skill Level as well.

I may just be misunderstanding you here, but just in case I would like to clarify that they said the Alpha 2 is a persistent alpha. It will last until launch, then the alpha 2 server will become the ptr server. So "after" alpha 2 the game will be released and the betas will have come and gone.
I think it'd be interesting to be able to choose a faster-paced server or one that is slow and feels more long-term for different characters, but I can also see why it might be better to stick with just one pace for all.

We still need lots of testing in Alpha Two and the Beta to be sure, though. I mean, Yes - it looks absolutely glorious. But aside from Videos and some Information on this Website and the Wiki Site, we know about absolutely nothing if we are for real. 😂 At least many to most of us.

It would be nice if we could get a Date or so, sometime soon. I would have no Problem with if the Alpha Two for Example would only come out around Christmas or early 2024, even though early 2024 is what many People already hope for the Release after Alpha Two and Beta.
But a Date would be nice. Something that actually feels like the Game is nearing it's Completion for the Release. Love all the Videos around the Nodes and so on : but it feels immensely distant just from them.

@mooshe2 (question) - Skills and abilities for your character come from your primary archetype. When it comes down to ""who can tank or heal,"" it depends on the setting. For high end raids and dungeons, the best Tanks will be players with Tank as their primary archetype, and the best healers will be players with Cleric as their primary archetype. @Tetterian (question) - When our story arcs have branches, they all tie into a “meta narrative” main story. This allows for each server to have their own story development, while keeping the main Ashes of Creation story moving forward for everyone. Much of our quest and narrative content will change, based on how players choose to interact with these things on your server, and players won;’t be repeating the same PvE content. @TopWombat (question) - For large scale PvP, there will be objective based game play that rewards strategy for placement of smaller groups that impacts the outcome of these PvP encounters.
@RocketFarmer (question) - In Ashes of Creation, much of the content available to you in-game is based on players and the actions they’re taking. Things like how Nodes advance and what ways players on your server complete story arcs will change what content is available at different periods of time. In addition, some content in the world will change based on what season it is.
@spyromancer (question) - Currently, we don't have plans to implement seasons on a different rotation, or rotating on a different timetable for different servers

@Fantmx (question) - Permissions to help manage your home are handled through affiliations like your Guild and family system. The current plan is for a 9 player maximum to the family system. We will have more details to share in the future, as we progress further in development
@IustinusShiva (question), @Goerge_Black (question) - Currently, the plan is for some ranged or melee abilities to require a specific weapon to be equipped. Weapons that are equipped in the character's ranged or offhand slots will be automatically swapped in and out as required by the skill. More information on this can be found here, on the wiki!

No one ever seems to get my design questions. I don't blame you, @Vaknar; Maybe I just need to phrase them differently?
Once a ZOI is at MAX SIZE - and can't get any larger - what incentives beyond Node Relics do we have, to fight other ZOI's?
Yours truly will try posting it this way, in the next Q&A that comes up. I was lucky enough to catch the Update you posted in live-streaming, but it still shows the ZOI's maxing at 20% of the world; What will drive conflict between ZOI's, once they are ALREADY at max-size? It was lightly touched on in the linked video, but no details were given, beyond a brief mention.

Can you become something akin to druid in DnD? Perhaps something that stays in animal form while fighting?
