If this is instanced, it could be interesting, but I'd definitely prefer if the rewards were very limited or simply non-gameplay-related.

Completely random, like a battle royale match. What kind of timescale are you envisioning here for those signups? Is it within 5 minutes of content cd? 5 minutes of someone registering first? Longer time for either/both? And if it's anything longer, then do you expect people sit and wait for an opponent or to magically TP from wherever they are? What if they were fighting someone at the time of the TP? What I'm trying to get at, this kind of thing only really works out in an instanced context, but Ashes is already limiting its instanced content, so adding a whole new system might be a bit too much for it.

Honstly, I think that should be up to the devs, since I dont know their game yet. But say you join up with a TD as a healer, and your just soloing out in the world, or crafting in your house. It could just pop up, like signing up for a PvP arena in another game. You should not be able to join if your in combat, finish the fight, then click yes - or something to that extend. You could make a premade group league and a completely random league. So solo guys or duos dont get mashed up against premade groups, with randoms. But I do think it should be an instanced thing. So you sign up from anywhere in the world. Within some sort of rule about not being in sieges or whatever. Then it pops up, you instant teleport there and get dropped back where you were. You could also make it a city thing. Where citys could have the competition and you wign up in a fixed place. But I think people would find it awesome to do, but not if they had long waits or could not go chop wood or gather flowers while they did it. Makes sense?

PvE Players would sit in safety and use the teleport to instance function like LFG. Its not conducive to PvE players getting involved in the rest of the game. Especially if the rewards are equal to rewards from contested dungeons.

There is static dungeons, sieges, town buiolding, crafting - what have you. This would just be an alternative for PvE players. A way for people who love to min max, likes to complete. Def an alternative to have fun, not a world changing thing. I just always wanted to compete in such things myself. See who breaks a dungeons fastest. Last longest in a wave game etc.

I understand the concept and I agree with the general premise. However, a PvE Season would be far superior and give PvE Players reason to contest the dungeons as well as do the instanced content. Right now, the PvE players don't have much incentive to play - only vague ideas of what PvE will be like. We don't even know much about the hardest content in the game in terms of PvE. It would be good to have a server wide competition for PvE much like there will be a server wide competition for PvP.
