I can't remember the exact words, but I am pretty sure spot testing is initially for A1 testers and older. The current spot testing is likely only for Phoenix Initiative, and I am not even sure they are in. Might be even more limited. Maybe close to A2 release they'll open for the A2 testers for spot tests too, but that is just my own guess and because it makes sense to stress test the login system and servers that way.

That makes sense hopefully a2 testers can jump in early to try it out as-well. After all we did purchase the keys too.

One of the limitations behind early NDA access/ Spot testing is that with each new wave of people (and the amount of people being added), it becomes harder to control the amount of NDA leaking haha. At least that was their justification for A1 a few years back.

Fear not, though. You'll get access and more than likely in the future you will be one of the spot testers before beta access users can gain access

Imagine having the weight of Ashes on your shoulders and the content people see is what they judge immediately. I'd also do a lot of testing before making the next phase public, just to make sure we have as many kinks ironed out as possible.

meh spot testing is boring anyways. you log in and do something your asked to, then take some pictures. pictures is probably the best part of it

To be fair, that was only up for a short amount of time, A2 is planned to be up long-term, updates aside.
