beta 2 same as alpha 2?

i know beta and alpha are different most times, but does beta 2 access mean alpha 2 access (asking since alpha 2 will be persistent like most betas are) or will i have to buy a key? i bought my package years ago and cant remember or find any info on it other than purchase history from 3-4 years ago

Beta 2 is the last thing before release in most cases.
No beta phase comes after the alpha.
You can log in and check your inventory to see if you have access here: https://ashesofcreation.com/settings/inventory
It will have a list of what comes in your pack like so:
If you have a package with beta 2 access but not alpha 2 and want to access alpha 2 you'll have to goto the intrepid shop here: https://ashesofcreation.com/shop/
Make sure you're signed in and you'll see a selection of packages to upgrade to. Alpha 2 came in the voyager tier, or you can pick voyager plus if you want extra cosmetics and game time at launch.
