Your first poll does not account for Alpha One players or Phoenix Initiative members who are already in testing.

I don't know if it is 'okay to say that you are in testing' or not, based on Steven's explanations, but maybe in an anonymous poll it is okay.

I bring this up because it skews your results. Those players either have to 'Vote Oct 25th' as if they will only be getting into the game then (which might be fine, depending on the goal, if any, of this data collection) or they have to refuse to vote in that one. You should probably at least clarify what you want those players to do, relative to your goals, if any.

For others' note, I believe Steven has openly said that their goal is to invite basically all Alpha-One keyholders into the Pre-A2 NDA tests by the time we hit that Oct 25th date, so this isn't some small number of people.

The goal is to see how many people have access for the October 25th & November 8th as that gives a headcount for the starting launch dates.

I did not include an option for Pre-Alpha 2 as it can be implied already that anyone in Pre-Alpha 2 has access for October 25th.

They all seem to be getting remarkably even distribution, it looks like were gonna have a very healthy archetype mix in testing atleast. I hope thats retained into launch.

The poll is about Alpha 2. Current people testing Alpha 1 are not in Alpha 2. So them being in Alpha 1 is irrelevant.

To put it another way, if someone was doing a poll "When did you get mobilized into WWII?" someone saying "Well, I was in WWI and also in WWII mobilized day 1 of both wars", then obviously the WWI experience is irrelevant since it isn't WWII.

Bad example, but maybe you get the point. If you're in Alpha 1, then you have Alpha 2 access, so you will be entering Alpha 2 on October 25th, correct? Then that's your answer!

Except Tanks.

Tank seems to be pretty low. Fighter, too. Bard and Cleric are middle, but in raw numbers, just behind Mage and Ranger. So looks like we should have a healthy amount of healers and buffers, ranged DPS will be a dime a dozen, melee DPS will be kind of low but not really an issue in general, and as in every MMO ever, tanks will be in short supply and worth their weight in gold.

Humm, looks like Tank is indded dropping back a substantial amount. But at ~12% it is still right around what would be 1/8th of the pie once all archetypes are in place. And Tank players generally a niche. The future Rogue and Summoner players are almost certainly picking other classes right now (Ranger and Mage most likely), so I think the eventual inclussion of these may actually re-flatten the distribution, though we will have to wait and see.
