Bad Experience
First, I understand that it is an alpha, yet it is an alpha that has been in development for 6+ years. Why, as a Braver of Worlds backer, do we not get priority queue over those who bought into the game after the fact? So many of the issues, from queue time to server lag, are the result of letting too many people into the game after the fact. Why was this allowed? Why were Kickstarter backers not given priority over those who supported the development of the game after the fact?

mate, if you want to jump the queue, start streaming, intrepid don't care about you once you have paid the money, they only care before, if you are not activley advertising their product you are a number like the rest of the A2 backers. do you really think a company that charges 500$ to help them test a game is going to give you priority once they already have your money lol
Wut??? Your Braver of Worlds title doesn't entitle you to anything. You gave Intrepid money because you support their vision of the game. Nowhere does it state you're entitled priority over anyone else. You've received in game rewards (on release) as well as the privilege... yes privilege of joining their testing phases. Hell us Braver of Worlds holders also gives us LIFETIME sub. Are you that greedy and self entitled that you need more?
Phase one is all about server stability and performance issues including the queuing system. How can you test the queue system if your high and mighty attitude requires to be in line 1st? You, sir, are just fail.
My family has purchased multiple packages years ago. One for each person and pc in the household. I've spent more money than you, therefore I believe I should get queue priority over you.
No. Not because of the reasons stated above, but a more fundamental engineering reason above all else. Unnecessary code for something that was never promised is pointless and another vector for bugs.
Fundamentally. All Code can be traced back to Acceptance Criteria. Acceptance Criteria is based on User and/or Developer stories.
There was never a User Story promised or otherwise of the flavor "Elites get priority entrance." Therefore, no acceptance criteria were ever formed around this. Meaning no code was written to fulfill said criteria.
I as a backer think the following User Story is more agreeable.
<As a "role", I want to "action", so that "benefit">
"I as a backer, would rather have engineering time spent on game play instead of making speed lanes for elites, so that I can receive more polished gameplay."
