Discussion Title - Failed to retrieve character list

Description
I go to login to my character and it gives the error message "failed to retrieve character list. exiting". This is on the Castus (US) server

I go to login to my character and it gives the error message "failed to retrieve character list. exiting"

Getting logged in

    I'm having the same thing happen but when I make a new character it still won't let me in

    happened to me when rolling a new character on US fresh start server. Kept going until I managed to exit the starting area and into lionhold.

    This is also happening for me. I have created new characters on Castus and other servers. I can only make to lion hold and then I get the for mentioned error and exited all the way out of the game.

    Also having this issue on Castus (US) Fresh Start realm

    Walked north into the goblin ruins to kill goblins & soon as I crossed the areas threshold immediately got this error. My fighter character is now stuck in an infinite loop of not being able to log in.

    Bug Reproduction Steps
    Made another character & walked into the goblin ruins area with the same results.

    Expected Result
    Expected to not get disconnected or be stuck in an infinite login loop.

    Character is stuck in an loop of trying to login, getting "Failed to retrieve login list. Exiting," & game closing.

    yeah I can't even getting into the game before I get hit with this. it will load then display the message when I hit play

    This has happened twice to my mage, first time at level 4 and then restarted him and made it to level 5. This is on Castas.

    Both times happened after timeouts/disconnects. I have had issues with disconnecting while being active (moving/combat) after an hour or two. When reconnecting I then disconnect every five minutes or so until I reboot (even with making all Intrepid related processes are stopped).

    I've had the same issue on Lyneth (US) four times today. My game will crash with no warning, lag spike or otherwise, and I hit the error shown above whenever I try to log back in.

    A fix I've found is to repair the launcher, this has worked 4/4 times. However, the issue itself has happened at varying times, both in and out of combat, but always while moving.

    I am having the same issue on Resna(US) when trying to log in. Have tried it on 2 separate PCs.

    I am having this issue right now. Created a ticket. Happened when traveling from Samia Rest through starter area and into Lionhold node. Seems like a server mesh / critical transition error.

    Im having this same issue. Since I got the game last night. I also deleted the character and made a new. Same thing. Swapped servers also
