Tank name

I think they should call the tank class, Guardian, then if you double up, Guardian/guardian, call THAT a tank, since it will be a TRUE tank, tankiest you can get. Guardian is much better name. Just an opinion, I really don't mind all that much either way.

I love these threads.

Very exciting to get in on the ground floor of an anti tank thread.

I think they should just make the tank class icon the Newgrounds logo and be done with it.

Absolutely agreed. I was just taking a look at all the archetypes and subclasses, and some of the names are pretty fitting, and some are just clumsy and unimmersive, like the "Tank", which sticks out like a sore thumb. Obviously it's only an alpha at this stage, and there are total of 64 subclasses, so many names might be just placeholders. I was also thinking they should call the "Tank" archetype "Guardian" instead. And Guardian + Guardian could be called "Champion", or something.

When you play wow you do not ask in lfg for a prot paladin or guardian druid. You say tank. You could copy this example over to most trinity based mmos that have balance between their tank classes.

So we say tank canonically in verra. Maybe their society has a true understanding of adventuring and the requirement of various roles.
