Access to Alpha Two requires a key. All players who have purchased a qualifying package or have been granted access can join the testing. If you haven’t purchased a package that includes Alpha Two and would like to participate, new options for access are available HERE.
Alpha Two is a testing phase for Ashes of Creation, and as such, it will contain bugs and technical issues that need to be resolved before the game’s official launch. Alpha Two testers play a crucial role in helping Intrepid locate bugs, test systems, and provide feedback that shapes the game’s future. If you’re looking for a complete game or an experience with minimal bugs, we encourage you to join us in a later phase of development, when Ashes of Creation will be more refined.
Answer: Throughout Alpha Two, we’ll be testing and adding content with specific goals and expectations for testers at different times. As a result, Alpha Two is divided into three distinct phases:
Note: Dates are subject to change due to development, but we will notify everyone in advance.
That depends on which pre-order package you purchased! We are currently in Phase 1 of Alpha Two, which means some players already have access to the game. If you’ve purchased a Wave Bundle, your access dates are below:
No! Purchasing into a phase grants access to non-NDA’d testing phases, including Beta One, and Beta Two.
You can download the launcher before testing starts, but not the game itself. We send all applicable testers information 24-72 hours before your test phase begins with a link to where you can install the launcher. When the game servers go live, you can then begin to download the game itself (in our current phase, this is at 10 AM PT on Fridays).
If you have purchased a package that grants Alpha Two access or otherwise acquired access via a giveaway or other promotion, you can download the installer for the Intrepid Launcher directly from the Ashes of Creation website. Run the installer to install the Launcher, then start the Launcher to install the game. Additional information can be found HERE.
Yes, but it can sometimes be delayed up to 24 hours and may get caught by your spam filter. If you’ve checked your spam folders and do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of your purchase, please contact support HERE.
You won’t need to re-download everything, but during the week we often release updates to the game that will require you to patch/download before you can play. Updating on Fridays will be quicker if you’re consistent about downloading previous updates when they’re made available!
Alpha Two testers have exclusive access to A2 Discord channels to facilitate tests and talk with the development team. In order to type/talk in these channels, you need to connect your Intrepid Account and your Discord account. Instructions for how to do this can be found HERE.
Alpha Two is a testing phase for Ashes of Creation, meaning the game is still in development and requires live player testing to validate game design and ensure systems function correctly. While we aim to minimize unnecessary wipes, Alpha Two testers should anticipate progress resets as needed—whether due to bugs, technical issues, or to facilitate specific testing scenarios.
We encourage all testers and community members to explore our official wiki for a comprehensive understanding of gameplay mechanics and features. Additionally, connect your Discord account with your Intrepid account to gain access to exclusive Alpha Two channels where you can talk with other A2 testers.
