Intel Graphic Cards
Hey Gang!
I currently have an Nvidia 1660 super and was gonna upgrade to a 3070, but a friend suggested i look into intels newer line of Arc graphics cards.
does anyone here have experience running ash’s with an intel Arc? I’m looking at the 770.
Would love any info!

I'd personally wait till start of next year as there some new GPUs planned for release. I'm personally waiting for the AMD RX8800XT price/performance
If you're planning to use a 1440p display don't bother with any GPU that has less than 12gb of vram.
At the very least wait until next month for Intel's new Battlemage lineup to release and hopefully get some good reviews. If you can't wait, the 3070 will do fine too of course, if you can get a good deal.
That's the problem, it's the software and drivers. They are years behind AMD and GeForce.
It's king in mmos
Those X3D chips combined with a 12gb+ AMD GPU... play Ashes on perfect
At 4k my 16gb RX6800 is using over 12gb of vram with all textures and shaders maxed.
I agree that 16gb will probably live longer as more newer game titles have higher demands.
12gb is the minimum for 1440p going forward.
8gb should cost no more than $200 and be considered low end 1080p.
In the vision, it symbolized harmony and resilience, and that’s when I knew Intel was the right choice for me. The Arc A770 performs decently for gaming, but more importantly, it just felt right. And on a final note, Nanfoodle, no matter how elaborate my stories get, they’ll always have more soul than your highest achievement. But seriously, take care, everyone!
Intel’s definitely still catching up with drivers, but they’ve made solid progress. For someone not tied to the usual brands, it’s refreshing to see a third option in the GPU space. I’d say if you’re curious and willing to tinker a bit, it’s not crazy to buy Intel graphic cards just go in with realistic expectations.
That said, I’m also keeping an eye on what Battlemage brings. Could be an exciting year ahead for GPU options all around.
Below the 9060XT 16GB I would honestly go used/second hand market.
Thanks to the current markups the 9070 non XT is actually not a bad deal. Personally upgraded to 1 after selling my RX6800. Under 250watts so no need to upgrade mu PSU or use the melting 12VHPWR connector.
Pretty happy with the card but have not tested in in AOC to compare to my now sold RX6800.
The 9070XT is so close to current 5070ti prices (USA) that I would probably get the NGreedia GPU just for the wider range of DLSS suported games, but FSR4 is pretty close in terms of similar performance. Also Ray Tracing...but I turn that off as the performance hit is not worth it for me. Its up to personal preference. I don't even like upscaling that much, but its almost mandatory at this point with new games.
Frame Generation is trash might look smooth but play like molasses.
Diminishing returns after the 5070ti.
