Laptop fried and died

I played briefly on the 22nd but not since. Downloaded update at 8pm PST on Nov 27. Launched game and went AFK for 30 minutes while in Lionhold. Came back and laptop off and hotter than a stove top. Cooled off and unplugged. Plugged back in and will not start. Not even LED indicator lights.

Laptop is a 2023 Origin with 4090. I have been just using the laptop but installed a Dell 34" 4k monitor today and bumped the graphics settings in game.

I did experience 3 overheating crashes on the 9th or 10th but the next weekend was OK.

Generally computer components these days have safeguards against overheating like this and should shut the computer off when it reaches that critical temperature the fact your laptop did not do this is most likely a manufacturer issue with the motherboard or GPU.
The game may have served a purpose in overloading the component but at the end of the day those safeguards are there for a reason and should work. (hopefully it is still under warranty)

Shout out to new Intrepid IT tech Avery. He updated my Bios and nearly every driver. He was very helpful and friendly. My laptop should be better now.
