"Unable to Play" - "Waiting for character data validation..."
After launching the game. The Play button at the bottom of the screen has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it. The hover text is titled "Unable to Play" and the message says "Waiting for character data validation..." The client waits forever and never gets past that point. I can select different Realms... but I just get this same scenario. After the most recent update, I have never been able to access the game. There are no characters on the Realm screen.
First I tried repairing the game via the launcher. Then I tried reinstalling the game via the launcher. Then I tried uninstalling the game via the launcher. Then I redownloaded the launcher and reinstalled the game. Everything I do brings me back to this situation.
I thought maybe it was a firewall issue. So I created a new inbound and outbound rule that gave C:\Program Files\Intrepid Studios\AshesOfCreation\PROD\AOC\Binaries\Win64\AOCClient-Win64-Shipping.exe full access. No joy.
