In game moderation

You do have a way to report this, simply use the support link and put in the players name where it asks for the players name and put in the reason where it asks for reason.

In-game reporting might come later but for now, if it is not important enough for you to click on a link and fill in a few questions, sounds like it is not important enough to report.

Omg I laughed so hard over this! I was expecting some nasty vitrol sh*t when I clicked that link and all I got was "QQ big bird wasn't on sesame street today!" I think the real story here is the person's pvp really did suck and the only recourse for them was to try and report the other user for their comment.

One of our guildies has been effectively bullied out of the game by one guild who all send him hate messages every minute he's logged in.

Nothing's been done about it, yet. We're hoping for some bans, but I guess we'll see.

WOW came out with that "social contract" to make people feel better.
FFXIV has a reputation for jailing and banning players over the slightest negative talk.

These "Solutions" just result in people leaving groups and blocking without any words exchanged.

It makes any difficult dialog between players too risky and hinders the social aspects of the games.

Clearly chat should not be moderated like 4chan, but also the mods were for sure asleep during the holiday break.

A happy balance needs to be found. WOW and FFXIV take moderation way too far, but right now I am seeing some insane personal attacks involving real world information about people.
