Mounts to collect for the collection, not because someone wants to add survival aspects to an mmorpg.

In this game I'd hate it. Temp like mounts that can die would be okay. But with mount collecting being a thing I don't think they would be good. Plus all the dumb ways your mount can die...

Anyone else remember HorseMurder? Or was it HorseKiller? from early A2? lol.

Not a fan. Idk how deep the system goes but knowing there is genetics and different body parts (pointy/floppy ears etc) i was going to try to get the mount i want in terms of looks and stats, now i'd just focus purely on stats.

People are really trying to make this game tedious and inconvenient huh? Only basement dwellers with no life outside of playing would advocate for something like this. Might as well add character permadeath too...

I get that sentiment to some degree, but without constant need for fresh resources and crafting, the economy will simply die.

No perma death. Give animal husbandry other consumables. House shoes, saddles, or the like. Make them have meaningful buffs. Maybe items that add more options for skills for the mount. I love my mounts like they are friends. I add them to the story of my RP. Do not kill a part of my story. I even keep my first mount as my first friend.

I think i already saw something like a "dead Bear" in the Inventory of a Player. Like -> jeah the only thing you can now still use it, is to provide it's Meat to your Node or something. (lol)

So it is being forced over the Players ? This makes it sound like you should never whip out your favourite Mount. Because at the latest due to People suddenly attacking You - you will lose your Mount, right ? They will kill it.

I'm not really in favor of permanent death for mounts. Once again, I'm looking at the game's long-term vision rather than just the current systems in place.

One of the game's promises is that breeders will be able to crossbreed different draft mounts to try and obtain ones with rare traits. This already makes acquiring a unique mount a challenge in itself. So what's the point of putting in all that effort if mounts have an expiration date and eventually get discarded? Moreover, many players enjoy collecting mounts, and Ashes of Creation is designed to be rich in this aspect.

To maintain the importance of the breeder profession, why not introduce a special item crafted exclusively by breeders, available at each skill tier (novice, apprentice, etc.), that allows mounts to regain their vitality? This way, mounts wouldn't just be disposable consumables, and breeders would still play a key role in the game's economy by selling these regeneration items.

This would allow players to keep their unique mounts, whether they have exceptional stats or are rare boss drops. On the other hand, if mounts are treated purely as consumables, players will simply seek the best cost-effective option, leading to a standardized and industrialized production of just a few types of mounts instead of fostering a diverse and engaging system.

How about perma remove cosmetics on mount death?
So you have to buy them again.

Would laugh my ass off if the 30 day legendary mounts also have insta perma death. What an absolute trash reward.

What if legendary mounts wouldn't die? But get injured and have to rest for a couple weeks?

Very good question. What MMO has mount die? None. It's a dumb idea tgat needs to go away. Give animal husbandry other consumables that we need to keep buying. Saddles that add speed. Horse shoes that add speed. The list goes on and on.

I would prefer the mounts to get eventually upset and kill their owners and run away.

This is legit the best and most important Suggestion that i have read since the Beginning of Alpha Two.

The current Mountspeed is just horrible. This is nothing like what i have seen from a few Presentations. What i experienced til January was very bad.
