Voyager packs or diff packs in the future?
I deserve all the hate for asking this question as I am sure its been asked 100 times over, and I did a search for anyone wondering and found nothing recent regarding this topic.
So my question is, will Voyager packs or other types of big packs with cosmetics be making a return for the May 1st Third Wave Alpha, or possibly the Beta when that launches? Was planning to get the current May 1st pack but if I could secure a more lucrative pack (especially regarding housing items and such) I would rather hold out until that launches.
Any info will be grateful including calling me a scrub lord and lazy.
Have a wonderful Monday,
Cheers

Maaaybe they'll bring back separate cosmetic purchases, but I also doubt that because that'd be them, once again, going back on their word of "no more cosmetic bundles", which was a somewhat big fomo part of their sales.
🔹 Why Are These Packs Unlikely to Return?
1️⃣ Intrepid Has Stated That Cosmetic Bundles Are Limited-Time Only
The FOMO (fear of missing out) aspect was always part of these packs. In previous official statements, Intrepid has reaffirmed that once a cosmetic bundle is gone, it won’t be coming back.
If they were to reintroduce them, it would go against their commitment to exclusivity—something they’ve been pretty firm about.
2️⃣ Testing Phases Will Likely Focus on Lowering Barriers to Entry
As we get closer to Beta, Intrepid needs more testers. Offering high-priced packs with cosmetics doesn’t align with that goal.
Instead, we might see cheaper access options so more players can jump in.
🔹 Could Standalone Cosmetic Purchases Return?
It’s possible (but unlikely) that individual cosmetics could be sold again. However, Intrepid has emphasized keeping monetization strictly cosmetic, non-P2W, and limited-time to maintain value for early supporters.
🔹 Should You Wait or Buy the Current May 1st Pack?
If your main goal is access, then waiting could be risky since there’s no guarantee of better packs returning. But if you’re mostly after the best cosmetics, you might want to hold out and see if Intrepid announces anything before purchasing.
At the end of the day, exclusivity and transparency have been core principles in Ashes of Creation’s monetization approach, so while new packs will likely come, the old ones are most likely gone for good.
