Cleric Heals and Gear

Cleric's the Healing Power stat does not seem to really to offer much to boost Healing output.

For instance having a character with mainly healing power gear vs a character with higher magic power the character with higher magic power heals for more than a cleric with more Healing power.

from what i have found Healing power is a flat boost and there is not a lot of gear that offers healing power that can compete with damage output from a mage with high Magic Pen.

Good observation. This is definitely something worth looking into, especially in a game like Ashes where class identity and group roles are so important.

If Healing Power as a stat isn't scaling effectively compared to general Magic Power, that could create balance issues long term where Clerics feel forced to stack damage stats just to keep up with healing output, which defeats the purpose of building into a support role.

I’m sure Intrepid is still tuning these numbers during Alpha Two, but feedback like yours is essential. Ideally, Healing Power should feel rewarding to invest in, not flat or underwhelming. Otherwise, we’ll end up in a scenario where hybrid DPS builds out heal dedicated supports and that’s not healthy for group dynamics.

Hopefully we will see more tuning and gear variety as testing continues. Thanks for sharing your findings!

So lets talk spells for cleric.

it is nice to have a good mix of Damage and Healing however cleric's should have more healing skills available then DPS generally. I would like to see more healing skills to be available. Like more AOE heals / Multi-target.

Some recommendations (Using Log Horizon or Final Fantasy as a Point of Ref):
    1. Reactive Heal - This would be a heal that is applied by the caster to the target and when damage is received applies x healing.
    2. Reactive Heal Wide - This is the AOE version of the above.
    3. Aurora Heal - This is a heal that has a massive range for a raid group.
    4. Angel's Feather's - This is both a Heal AOE and a Damage AOE.
    and the list goes on

As a cleric main, I prefer to have to sacrifice damage for more healing effectiveness. Like a cleric who can kill other classes in open world should be basically incapable of out healing their bursts. I want to be very hard to kill but also basically unable to kill others outside of maybe a duel where they cant just run away and I run them out of mana. Healing power should matter a lot more than magic power, seems to me.
