cant log in- initializing then nothing

When i hit the launch game button a new window pops up. says its initializing then waiting for game...then the new window disappears and the game does not start.
I tried to repair, still nothing.
any ideas?

    i think i figured it out, i clicked the crash debugging and the other radio button in the launcher setting. not sure that fixed it but i was able to log in after i changed that
