Needed resource nodes are stupidly hard to find

I log in before dawn (real world time), when the server pop should be relatively low, and run all over the map, and find only 2 copper nodes, one single T2 mining node, one single weeping willow, and didn't see one single braidwood.

To have crafting depend on large quantities of resources that you can't find anywhere, even when fewer people are in game, is just plain stupid.

    You only mentioned stupid one time (not including title). Since the op includes T2 and T3 nodes, it should of been stated x2 and x3 times.

    Part of the problem is the ability to find stuff, sure... but the other problem is that there's no way to mix and match metals. Copper ingots should be usable anywhere ingots are used. Oak beams, boards, and planks should be usable where weeping willow ones are needed. Will it be better than making the same recipe with T2 components? Maybe not, but it could be meaningfully different in a way that is still fun and exciting, and reduces the reliance on exactly one material alone as part of making a given item.

    Dynamic recipes would help to fix a lot of the artisan system, especially in its current state.
