How about adding an option for people LFG

Zotics1Zotics1 Member, Alpha Two
It seems rediculous to find certain classes sometimes for groups. Would it be possible to add something for players to add themselves in LFG option where people forming groups can see their level and class to form groups? Sometiems people are spending hours looking for a class for their groups and it is absolutely bonkers.

Embersprings should have a notice board where people can leave their info, which would also have the "online" status, if the player is online and is within the ZOI of the POI's node.

For everything else there's already LFG chat.

There are plans to add a noticeboard type feature some time before the game goes live.

I'm sorry I was all for not having a LFG tool. Maybe us EQ /LFG flagging and filters. This game will be so big that won't work. We need ways to find people for a one hour travel time radius. I know I will be based for this. I have never played an MMO as a support or a healer where I struggled to find a team. We need a system that's going to bring people together. Guilds alone will not cut it. 70% of an MMOs population will be casuel. Ashes team needs to start thinking how to keep them busy and feeling good about the play time they get so little of.

I'm super surprised that you say this as a support/healer, because it's almost a universal trend for me, that we don't particularly want nor care about LFG tools.

If the game holds any meaningful difficulty at all, especially if it also has complexity, the only LFG style tool that is really needed is the one Ashes already has. And I say that as a person who definitely argued on the side of the FF11-style one in that other thread.

As you say, 70% of the population will be casual, but with the size and the amount of spread-out we're supposed to be, if a player hasn't learned who to group with in their own Node by like, week 2, I'd figure they're not going to stick around, LFG tools or not.
    Stellar Devotion.

Lots of games have had some LFG tools that worked well. I should be able to flag LFG and someone who's starting a group should be able to see my character on the list with some details. Like Level, Class, Guild, Node, Relgion, ect so they can know if they want to invite me or not. But there should be a button they can press that will invite me making it easier. I haven't seen the lfg system yet (waiting for p3), but that's a good place for it, but a window I can open while I craft/gather/bs would be better.

Last LFG tool I messed around with was off Pantheon. Limited to the zone, showed good info, made finding a party easier. I think something like that would work good with some polish and tweaks.
