Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Phase III testing has begun! During this phase, our realms will be open every day, and we'll only have downtime for updates and maintenance. We'll keep everyone up-to-date about downtimes in Discord.

If you have Alpha Two, you can download the game launcher here, and we encourage you to join us on our Official Discord Server for the most up to date testing news.

Content creators good idea

I saw some videos from content creators that had a nice idea to show us where they are in the progress. It would be a good idea to alleviate the critics. Intrepid could show us each thing or systems they are working in. Example: crafting, naval and so on, then have a progress bar or something that go from "they are still working on the prototype" to "complete".

While I agree that something like this could be marginally helpful, "content creators" would be the first group of people to turn it back on to Intrepid.

    Development isn't a straight line.

I get the intention, it would be nice to see progress laid out visually. But I completely understand why Intrepid doesn’t do it that way.

Game development, especially on a project this ambitious, is anything but linear. Systems evolve, priorities shift based on testing feedback, and sometimes something marked as "almost done" needs to go back to the drawing board. If they added progress bars, they’d get criticized the moment one didn’t move fast enough or had to roll back.

What they’re doing now, showing systems when they're ready for meaningful feedback, is the better approach. It allows us to engage when it matters most without boxing the team into artificial milestones. Trusting the process is key. We’re not just getting a game, we’re getting the right game.
