Exterme PvP: Sacrifice

Sacrifice is the way. With this ability, you target a few unlucky silly boys in your party, and their levels get totaled up. Then you use the ability again a non-party player with it if their level matches or is bellow the sum, they just instantly die. No save, no mercy, just a cosmic invoice paid in full LOL

Example: hit five level 10 party members with the ability, total hits 50, then zap a level 50 non party member and he gets deleted. Or trade one level 50 to take out another level 50. Equal exchange, anime-style.

Just keep slapping people from your party and once you hit a non-party player then everybody dies, your party member and the non party member, all dead at the same time.

Balanced? Probably not. Cool? Absolutely. Your friends might hate you. Worth it.
PvE means: A handful of coins and a bag of boredom.

Comments

  • If your caster tags a level 50 from your party and then hit a non party level 20 then the sacrifice is consumed at full anyway, sucks to be in your party with caster like that.

Hp/mana Sacrifice and Self-destruct abilities are fun, but I prefer they stay within the combat design context (skillful/strategic to pull off).

Great way to completely destroy any pugging in the game. I love it :)

One-shots like that sound kinda shit, to be honest.

  • I've rethought the system, the best approach might be letting players voluntarily mark themselves for sacrifice. However the total amount of levels marked must be at least double the level of the target. So, if my friend and I are both level 20s and want to instantly kill an enemy, we could both mark ourselves against him. If the enemy is level 20 then we all die instantly.

For example, if we’re a party of five level 10 players trying to kill a level 25 enemy, we could do it since 5 x 10 / 2 = 25

Only desperate players would use this kind of ability, but it could also be a tactical option LOL like sacrificing some party members to instantly kill a tank in an enemy group and let their party crumble

High-level players would have to stay on their toes when running into low-level death squads lol

Once you're maxed in an MMO, you never feel threatened by low-level players and this would be a game changer, since you'd never feel safe around people below you. Since people might jump on you at any time you would have an adrenalin rush while killing them as fast as possible just to make sure then can not successfully run the sacrifice

Maybe the sacrifice could be an ability that comes from an item like a torch or a red lamp, if you see a bunch of noobs switching items into that then you better yeet myself outta there asap
-I'm GTFO here these people are crazy

You just gotta be purple to equip this item and people should be able to see you equipped it

    Genious!

  • Maybe crafters could make this item and the item would be a consumable, if it's good for the economy it is good for the game obviously lol
