Is the game really 100 dollars to play? that seems mental for a game that isnt even finished ?

    No, it is not.

It is $100 to support the development of the game and get access to alpha and beta.

When the game releases, there will be a $15 monthly subscription as the only actual required cost to play.

I miss the old days where devs used to pay people to play test games, 100 dollars to essentially work for the company and test somthing thats going to make them massive profits seems wierd to me. Ill play it when its like 50 dollars like a normal game :)

As I said, it will never be $50.

There is no box price, you can never buy this game. All you can do is pay a subscription when the game is out for access to the game for that month.

People paying for access tp alpha and beta have not bought the game.

that part of your thought is really up in the air - many people suspect this will be a niche game only which means no super-sized subs for years on end

    Test.
What you're truly supposed to do if You enter the World of Verra right now and this way -> is testing.

Please understand -> this is not like an Early Access Version. This is still way earlier in Development.

It's like Nooani said. It's more a way of financial Support to Sir Steven and his Crew.

And i also miss the Times when People tested it which were solely inside the Company and not People who want to "help the Game" out,
and when You could simply buy a finished Game.

But the World of Verra is supposed to be huge. And with Mechanics which must be hammered inside of it Piece by Piece. So it takes a long while. Plus i think ONLY for that new Server-Tech alone -> Sir Steven and his Crew invested like Five to Seven Years more -> didn't they ?
