Global Chat Custom Filter

Only for Global Chat, and this is more of an annoyance than anything else.
Would it be possible to add a custom filter for Global Chat that we ourselves can type words into. That way, any comments with those specific words are automatically filtered out and won't be displayed.
This way I can type WTB, WTS, LFG, or add the variations that will of course pop up like W.T.B, W!T!B, etc etc, into this filter to block out the constant spam of this nonsense in the General Chat window.
This could force people to use those separate chat rooms for their intended purposes and allow those of us to enjoy the endless supply of Chuck Norris jokes.

They are ruining all of our collective enjoyment!
In my opinion, Intrepid should specifically NOT add this in. When you play an MMORPG you become a part of that world. Having that words chat presented to you is a part of that.
Please! WTS, WTB, LFG clogs up the Global Chat and removes the immersion into the game world. They are no better than telemarketers and spam phone calls.
How does having an endless number of people spamming their WTS, WTB, LFG, LFM, ETC, help you become part of that game world when you cannot even ready what's going on in that world because every 2 seconds the chat is spammed an endless supply of annoying chatmarketers removing you from that immersion to yell out
