So I am a a New World refugee, but a long time AoC backer. I decided the other night to finally download the launcher and install the game. But, to my sadness, the game refuses to launch. I've had multiple different results when launching, the most common is the black screen and then back to desktop. The C++ Redistributable reinstall does nothing to resolve this. I've even completely uninstalled and then reinstalled the latest C++ Redistributable. It has also crashed to a black screen and complete frozen my PC.
Here are the list of other troubleshooting steps I've taken:
And here is my system specs:
Intel i9 14900K
32GB DDR5 (6000Mhz) RAM
RTX 3080
Windows 11 Pro (release 25H2)
1x single 4TB NVMe SSD
I am in IT as a professional, though I admit I am the least IT respondable person on my own equipment, and possibly the laziest as well. But any suggestions on what to try and do next would be great. I did notice in the Known Issues section that there was a reference to trying to launch the game in DX11, but there didn't seem to be a way to do that with the current launcher, though I could do this via command prompt I am sure. Again, any thoughts and suggestions would be great!

- Latest GPU Drivers (roll back to the previous driver)
- GPU Acceleration/Scheduling turn off/on
- Uninstalling EAC (Easy Anti Cheat) and reinstalling
- Computer shutdown/restart
- Windows updates

I read the following:
"If your game is crashing on a black screen immediately after pressing Launch Game, you likely need to update/reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. Visit Microsoft's website and install the X64 version for Windows 10/11"
I have completed the step above and continue to have the same issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
