I have been pretty critical over the years, mostly due to wanting the game to succeed, but after the playing the PTR during the week and participating in the dueling tournament I think it's safe to say that I was wrong about alot of the concerns that I had. Obviously there is a long way to go and I would love to see improvements to quite a few systems, But the game in general is fun and the performance / graphical changes on the PTR are amazing. Honestly I think anyone giving this game a fair review on steam without being swayed by community sentiment should give high ratings and even if we have to go through review bombs, delays and worked systems I have no doubt in my mind that the game will succeed.

I think it'll highly depends on what the players want from the game and when they do the review.

Combat has been praised universally. And if they tightened up graphics/optimization/server performance - that's great. But the remainder of the game is what's lacking and that's what a lot of people are worried about.

And literallly no newbie will even know about those issues within the first 2 hours. And so when the realization happens, it won't be a "oh, this game is empty beyond this point" it'll be a "holy fuck, I just wasted $50 on this and can't refund it now".

Very much this. I don't think anyone has said a bad thing about the combat. Its some of the best I have seen on an MMO.

Definitely agree, the game is alot better if you are part of the community and know how the systems function but I do think we are missing core aspects that really should have been introduced before EA, for example, storyline quests, story arch's, some opt in PvP/pve systems. But let's see how fast they can add these
