i do not have McAfee installed and still have this issue. Did everything. Any idea, i can play like for 5 min until crash

Having the same issue, so far all i have been able to do since I bought the game last week is create a character. Have tried logging in a few times over the past few days including right now. I do not have mcafee. Fix this please, not a great start.
Just wow, I've gone through several experiences on not being able to log in, finally work my way around by way of a suggestion in this forum, so enjoying myself a little and now out of the blue, I can't stay logged in more than 5 minutes and I get this same window and get booted back to character selection. This game, it is the single most irritating game I have ever wanted to play.
Same Issue here…no McCafee to F it up either…so disappointing
So, I did two things, I verified file integrity through steam and I went into configuration for downloads for this game and clicked the option to "download immediately" for updates as suggested in another post, and this fixed my problem.
After last patch i receive this error

I expect teething issues and this can be part of the fun of a new game but geez it should at least be playable ha ha C'mon AOC!
go to settings and delete your download cache after that then just validate files to fix. takes like 2 mins.
Yall need to go to steam settings>downloads>delete download cache then validate game. and it should work. If you dont delete download cache before validating the same mismatch file will give you the error.

I have this same thing happen. It happened before the most recent patch and it is still ongoing. I have tried the .bat file. I have verified files. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled. I'll be playing for roughly 5mins or so then it bumps me to the loading screen, then errors with this..
Not sure what else to try at this point. Everything was working great until roughly 2-3 patches ago. It's unplayable atm.

not fixed for me, why devs dont provide clear instuctions how to deal with it, thats really annoying me alot!
Try enabling immediate downloads for updates for AOC in particular, this worked for me.
Still getting the same error after updating last night and clearing the steam cache :( Merry christmas.
