Can we have pets fight each other as a side fun thing?   Not real damage, not real death or anything, just fun thing to see, like a dog might chase a cat for a few seconds.  In WoW, you could have some pets attack other pets and it was LOL funny to see.

    In one of the streams they said that there was going to be more cosmetic pets, and there was going to be "battle pets" now what Steven meant by battle pets I am not sure of, maybe someone with more knowledge and info then me like @lexmax or @Diura can chime in

    We know for sure that pets won't be combat pets aka assisting you in combat, but it was suggested that pet battles may be the route - so kinda like wow which would be pretty cool.
    We don't know much more than that and @Ninja Shadow is right in saying some pets will be cosmetic only ^^

    This was debated a couple months back when the quote from the Q&A had people screaming about "just like WOW battle pets." My recollection from that time was that it was chalked up to Steven often using terminology during the early Q&As when he was excited about something, that doesn't match what most people use that terminology for. There will of course be cosmetic pets, we have never gotten an answer on whether mounts like the mule would be able to fight alongside you, and the summoner pets may be what he meant, without more clarification from the main man himself, we won't know till later.

    WoW intro of battle pets was dark times for me. I went from being a hardcore pet collector to just another guy with pets. I went from having a nice collection and some cool achievement pets to the back of the line.

    I just hope they stick with a pet system and don't change it. Hopefully not GW2's nearly cash shop exclusive system (which pissed me the hell off). I'd be happy with a tame system, I'd be happy with an achievement reward system, I'd be happy with a drop system, I'd be happy with a gold sink system (purchased from vendors), and I'd be happy with a mix of any and all. And if they want to allow us to battle them against each other? I'm not opposed to it, just make it fun and not tedious.

    I thought it was the other way round - not battle pets like WoW...  more similar to Wiz101.
