"Mount Cosmetic Skin
On the 31st of Oleidus, the traditional Verran holiday known as Demontide, The Unseen Order conducts an annual ceremony they call The Collection, at the stroke of middle night. Any members of the sect who possess a Collector’s Touch glove gather to conduct a blood-crazed invocation and summoning ritual. A torchlit forest clearing is filled with a cacophony of maniacal, disembodied laughter, and the grinding, rumbling, and snapping of bones. Limbs and body parts from an untold variety of creatures animate and combine, forming the shambling, undead abominations known as Sacrificial Remnants. These large, many-headed beasts drag themselves about on their hands and knees, scraping the ground with their oversized knuckle bones, as they faithfully obey the orders of the cult leaders."
So, the Halloween Event is called "Demontide", and it's in the month of "Oleidus".

If it's an annual Verran holiday, Demontide should occur 6-12 times per real world year.
its only happens on verran leap years :P which ine once every 6-12 years
Yeah, but it won't - just as the so-called annual Nights of the Dead in EQ2 didn't happen every in game year, but rather every real year.
Same with Erollisi's day, Brew Day, Bristleane Day and Frostfell. These were all "annual" events in game, with in game lore, that just so happened to take place once every real world year.
Castle Sieges are on a 4-week cycle.
It's likely that a Verran year will be 4 seasons - but there might also be a couple of magical seasons...
Whispers on the wind have told me Demontide is currently just "cosmetics lore"...
Well, if it's just cosmetics lore, then someone needs a telling off!
i feel it need to be longer personally but will find out in testing i guess
1 to 2 week also isnt long enough for seasonal resources to make a difference in the market either bu the time they start to get scarce the right season for that plant will be right around the corner anyway.

Putting up Torches ? Not just you know - throwing them on the Ground ? Most of the time, Imagination and Creativity is all you need for good Roleplay.
